The UK’s combat ready tank stockpiles have depleted to dangerous levels amid the war in Ukraine to which London contributed heavily. London has just 40 tanks and around a dozen frigates and destroyers ready to go to war, as per British media reports.
The figures are the lowest in modern times with lawmakers worried about their own country’s fate if it goes to war. Some British MPs have said that the shortfall in weapons shows the UK would struggle in a potential war with Putin’s army.
