BRITAIN REALLY DOES LOVE MAKING FUN OF AMERICAN PRESIDENTS, DOESN’T IT?! 😭😂🇬🇧🇺🇸

Today we’re diving back into the wonderfully savage world of Not the Nine O’Clock News, and this time Ronald Reagan is getting the British comedy treatment!

As an American, there’s something absolutely hilarious about watching British comedians take on American politics, especially when it’s a president from decades ago.

One thing I’ve learned from exploring British comedy is that absolutely NOBODY is safe from being mocked. Politicians, celebrities, royalty, Americans… apparently we’re all fair game. 😂

And honestly, I LOVE IT.

Not the Nine O’Clock News has such a brilliant way of combining political commentary with completely outrageous comedy. The writing, the delivery, the sarcasm, and that wonderfully dry British sense of humor make these sketches an absolute joy to discover.

It’s also fascinating watching older political satire and seeing how the UK viewed American presidents and politics at the time.

And as an American watching it all these years later, I have a feeling I’m going to have plenty to say!

🇬🇧 BRITISH VIEWERS, I HAVE QUESTIONS!

😂 Was Ronald Reagan a frequent target of British comedians in the 1980s?
🇺🇸 How did British audiences generally view Reagan during his presidency?
🎭 What are your favorite Not the Nine O’Clock News sketches?
📺 Which classic British political satire should I watch next?

I absolutely love hearing your memories of these shows, especially from those of you who watched them when they originally aired.
