Sir Tom Jones is NOT going quietly. The legendary 86-year-old singer has publicly accused ITV of firing him from The Voice UK after 14 years on the coaching panel — and the reason he was given has sparked a major controversy. 💔🎤

Here’s what Tom Jones said:

In a statement posted to Instagram, Sir Tom wrote: “To be clear, I did not want to leave The Voice as I love the show and really appreciate the audience. ITV made this decision — obviously a while ago, and I was told just recently. The reason given is because of a financial difficulty with insurance.”

He also revealed ITV offered him a “much-reduced role” where he would make an appearance but not be involved from the start — and he wasn’t happy about it. His closing line? “There’s never a good time to fire an 86-year-old who’s still pretty good at his job.” 😤

But ITV tells a different story:

The broadcaster claims the move is part of a “refresh” of the show with a new coaching line-up. ITV thanked the “irreplaceable Sir Tom Jones” for his years on the show and said they remain in talks with him about future involvement.

The new coaching line-up:

Cheryl and rapper Aitch are joining the panel, replacing Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, and Tom Fletcher. Kelly Rowland and Will.i.am are returning as coaches. Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon are taking over hosting duties from Emma Willis.
